New York Mets Poised for Playoff Push in 2026

The New York Mets face the 2026 MLB season with high expectations and the clear mission of returning to the playoffs, after a year of absence.

Under the direction of manager Carlos Mendoza, the Queens team not only aims to compete in October, but similarly to win its first National League East pennant in more than a decade, given that it has not achieved this since 2015.

The optimism at Citi Field has solid foundations, since during the winter break the management invested heavily again, strengthening both its offense and its pitching staff.

The lineup includes important additions such as Bo Bichette and Jorge Polanco, along with adding bats of the caliber of Marcus Semien and Luis Robert Jr. To join the stars Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor. The arrivals of Devin Williams and Luke Weaver significantly strengthen the final innings, while the starting rotation is strengthened with the Dominican ace Freddy Peralta, from the Milwaukee Brewers.
