Mexico sends Humanitarian Aid to Cuba Amidst US Sanctions

Havana – Two ships flying the Mexican flag arrived at the port of Havana on Thursday, carrying much-needed humanitarian aid for Cuba. This delivery follows a commitment from Mexico to support Cuba, especially given the potential for increased US sanctions.

A Cuban state worker, 65, expressed gratitude, stating, “mexico hasn’t abandoned us.They weren’t afraid, even with pressure from a global superpower.”

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced on Wednesday that another shipment of aid will be sent to Cuba in the near future. This demonstrates Mexico’s ongoing support for the Cuban people during a challenging economic period.
