Anthropic Scales Claude on Azure with NVIDIA Support
Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic just announced significant partnerships poised to reshape the AI landscape. Anthropic will scale its Claude AI model on Microsoft Azure, leveraging NVIDIA technology. This move expands access to Claude and gives Azure customers more model options and powerful new features.
The commitment is substantial.Anthropic plans to purchase $30 billion of Azure compute capacity and secure additional capacity up to one gigawatt. This demonstrates a strong vote of confidence in AzureS capabilities and Anthropic’s growth trajectory.
This isn’t just about cloud access. NVIDIA and Anthropic are forging a deep technology partnership. They’ll collaborate on design and engineering, aiming to optimize Anthropic’s models for peak performance, efficiency, and total cost of ownership. Future NVIDIA architectures will also be tailored for Anthropic’s demanding workloads.
Initially, Anthropic’s compute commitment will utilize up to one gigawatt of capacity with NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems. This highlights the importance of NVIDIA’s cutting-edge hardware in powering the next generation of AI.
Microsoft and Anthropic are also deepening their existing relationship. They’ll provide broader access to Claude for businesses through Microsoft Foundry, making this advanced AI technology more readily available to enterprises.
