Miks Galvanovskis Releases New Single “Sadness in a Glass” and Announces Additional Concert

Latvian musician Miks Galvanovskis has released his latest single, “Sadness in a Glass,” following a performance at the GAMMA music industry award ceremony in Riga Arena. The song, described as a reflection of his life, delves into themes of loneliness and abundance. Galvanovskis was a nominee in the rock category at the GAMMA awards for the second consecutive year, having spent 2025 with ambitious success, including warming up for the legendary rock band “Scorpions” and completing a sold-out concert tour across Latvia.

About “Sadness in a Glass”

Galvanovskis describes “Sadness in a Glass” as an honest portrayal of his experiences, stating, “The song ‘Sadness in a Glass’ once again reflects my life without hypocrisy. Often it’s not easy, often it’s too beautiful. This song is about my existence, which is busier than loneliness and lonelier than abundance.” The single features contributions from Kristens Kupčs, Mārcis Briška, Jānis Narbuts, Reinis Briģis and Roberts Dinters.

Upcoming Concerts

Galvanovskis is currently promoting his “That’s my life” concerts at the Palladium venue. The initial concert on March 21 sold out quickly, prompting the addition of a second reveal on March 20. His team advertises the concerts as a journey through “Rock and lightness, pain and enlightenment, sorrow and fascination.” The video for “Sadness in a Glass” was directed by Elvis Lācis, with video projections by Arvis Rode.
