Milan – The Calabrian Clan is a 1974 Italian poliziotteschi film directed by Giorgio Stegani. The film explores the criminal underworld of the ‘Ndrangheta, a powerful Calabrian mafia association, and its operations in northern Italy.

Paolo Mancuso, a Calabrian immigrant, has risen to become a prominent boss within the ‘Ndrangheta.He controls a lucrative prostitution racket but faces challenges from newly arrived Calabrian criminals who disregard established territories and disrupt the existing power structure. Mancuso’s gang frequently resorts to violence – beatings and sexual assault – to maintain control and enforce respect. Mancuso seeks a solution to this escalating conflict, consulting wiht fellow bosses Dario Lippi and Pier Maraschi.

Mancuso is also involved with Laura, who manages both a brothel and a boutique, highlighting the intersection of organized crime and legitimate businesses.

One night, mancuso is ambushed by three hitmen.He narrowly escapes, seeking refuge in a scientific laboratory, were he kills one of his pursuers. During the escape, he is bitten by a guinea pig.

Concurrently, the police are investigating the shooting. The Commissioner learns from a scientist that the guinea pig was infected with a highly perilous virus capable of causing a widespread epidemic. Ther is a critical eighteen-hour window to locate Mancuso before the virus can spread uncontrollably.

The news of the infected guinea pig quickly spreads through the media, reaching Mancuso via a radio broadcast. He realizes the gravity of his situation and the imminent threat he poses to public health.
