Munich, (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Assaad Hassan Al-Chaibani arrived at the headquarters of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) to participate in the work of its sixty-second session.
The work of the conference, which begins today, will continue until February 15.
It is considered one of the world’s leading platforms for discussing international security issues, bringing together leaders and decision-makers to examine Middle East issues, geopolitical challenges and global stability.
On the sidelines of the conference, Minister al-Chaibani met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso, with whom he discussed prospects for strengthening economic cooperation and support for recovery projects.
The delegation of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Minister Assad al-Chaibani, participated in the sixty-first session of the conference last February.
She stressed that diversity constitutes a source of strength for Syria and that the Syrian people are determined to achieve their national interests.
Minister al-Chaibani, accompanied by the head of the General Intelligence Service, Hussein Salameh, also took part last October in the meeting of leaders of the Munich Security Conference, held in the city of AlUla in Saudi Arabia, with the participation of a group of senior international leaders.
