Taťána Makarenko Announces Top 10 Finalists for Miss Czech Republic 2026

The final ten contestants vying for the title of Miss Czech Republic 2026 have been selected, with the grand finale scheduled for May 23rd. The selection process, led by Taťána Makarenko, involved challenging elimination rounds from an initial group of twenty semifinalists. This year’s competition features a diverse group of women, including participants from the reality reveal Love Island and the oldest contestant in the competition’s history.

Diverse Finalists Selected

The top ten finalists represent a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Among them are Hana Dědková and Dominique Alagia, both known for their appearances on Love Island. Aneta Vizinová, at 31 years old, is the oldest contestant this year, a change made possible by raising the age limit to align with international standards like Supranational (32 years) and Grand (35 years) according to Makarenko. Barbara Plintová, standing at 186 cm, is as well among the finalists, recognized as one of the tallest competitors.

Emotional Elimination Process

The selection of the final ten was a difficult process, marked by emotional moments for the contestants. Petra Beníšková described the atmosphere as highly emotional, with tears of both joy and sadness. “I have to say that this year the girls are very emotional, so of course they shed tears of both happiness and sadness. And even Táňa and I actually had tears in our eyes,” she stated in an interview with eXtra.cz.

Novel Crown Unveiled: Rising Star

During the announcement of the top ten, the “Rising Star” crown was also presented. Created by Olga Kopalová Rynešová from ŠENÝR Bijoux, the jewel weighs between 300 and 400 grams and is valued between 150 and 200 thousand. Kopalová explained that the design aimed for a classic look suitable for both photography and television appearances, and includes a hidden secret visible only to the wearer.

Makarenko’s Vision for the Competition

Taťána Makarenko expressed her satisfaction with the diverse group of finalists, noting the visual variety among the contestants – four blondes and six brunettes. She emphasized her excitement for the final competition and the potential of these ten women.

The finalists will now participate in a training session abroad before returning for the final competition on May 23rd.
