An agreement has been reached concerning the future of Woolrich employees following a meeting at the regional headquarters. The company will consolidate operations, closing its offices in Bologna and milan by March 2027.
Woolrich has expressed a strong interest in relocating 139 employees to its Turin location, offering substantial incentives to facilitate the transition. Additionally, the company will provide meaningful incentives for employees who choose to pursue opportunities outside of Woolrich.
Employees now face a period of decision-making regarding their future. The employee transfer process is anticipated to begin between August and September. A smaller group of employees will remain in Bologna untill the final office closure in March 2027, serving a transitional role.
The agreement, reached with the involvement of unions, company representatives, and regional and municipal authorities, will be presented to employees at a general assembly on Monday. Union representatives have indicated a positive outlook, noting that the agreement is more favorable to employees than initial proposals suggested.
