Moldova Launches €10 Million Research and Innovation Funding Program
Teh Republic of Moldova has launched a new research and innovation funding program with a budget of €10 million, aimed at supporting the country’s strategic progress priorities. The program, announced by the Ministry of Education and research, will run untill May 31, 2026, with project results expected by October of the same year.

The program’s priorities are aligned with Moldova’s “Smart Moldova” strategy for 2024-2027, a national strategy for smart specialization. Project proposals can be submitted until May 31, 2026. Evaluation will take place between June and september 2026, with results announced in October 2026. Successful projects are expected to commence on December 1, 2026, and can run for a maximum duration of 30 months.
