MS Ireland to Host Information Event in Letterkenny, Focusing on Mental Health and Latest Research

People living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families are invited to a free information event in Letterkenny, County Donegal, on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The event, organized by MS Ireland, will take place at the Clanree Hotel and aims to provide accessible, reliable information in a supportive environment.

Expert Speakers to Address Medical and Wellbeing Aspects of MS

The event will feature presentations from leading experts in neurology and mental health. Dr. Kevin Murphy, Consultant Neurologist at Sligo University Hospital, will outline recent developments in multiple sclerosis care and treatment, explaining what these advances may signify for people living with the condition. MS Ireland emphasizes the importance of staying up-to-date with current approaches to treatment and support.

Bill Vaughan, Development Worker with Mental Health Ireland, will focus on mental wellbeing, exploring practical tools and strategies that people living with MS can use to support their emotional and psychological health.

Event Details and Registration

Proceedings will commence with a tea and coffee reception at 10:00 am, followed by expert talks from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A light lunch will be provided for all attendees. Attendance is free of charge, but advance registration is essential due to limited places.

Previous MS Ireland Events in Donegal

The Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny has previously hosted events for the MS community, including a World MS Day Coffee Morning on May 30, 2025. MS Ireland similarly acknowledges the support of the MS Donegal Branch and North West Special Olympics. The branch also held a Christmas party on December 7, 2025. The MS Donegal Branch raised €1,433 for the Swilly-Mulroy Mobility Bus in November 2025.
