MUSA Salt Museum of Cervia Hosts Family-Friendly Workshops and Celebrates International Women’s Day

The MUSA – Salt Museum of Cervia continues its “Let’s Play at the Museum” program, offering a series of engaging workshops for children and adults alike. These initiatives aim to connect participants with the rich history and unique environment of the Cervia salt pan, highlighting the area’s deep relationship with the sea and its historical role in salt production and trade.

Creative Workshops for All Ages

Throughout March and April, MUSA will host a variety of creative workshops designed to foster learning through play and experimentation. All children’s workshops are free of charge, with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis – reservations are not required.

Upcoming Workshop Schedule:

  • March 8: “A Mascot of My Own” (3:00 pm – 5:00 pm) – Children aged 3-10 can create puppets inspired by the animals of the Cervia salt pan using recycled materials. The workshop, curated by Cooperativa Atlantide, will take place in two shifts, at 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm, and emphasizes both creative reuse and wildlife education.
  • March 15 & April 19: “Create in Color” – A ceramic painting workshop led by Elisa Grillini.
  • March 22: “Spring Party!” – An adventure at the museum curated by Cooperativa Atlantide.
  • March 29 & April 26: “To Everyone His Sail” – Ancient sail painting workshops on the third floor, organized by the cultural association “Circolo dei Pescatori La Pantofla.”
  • April 12 & May 10: “The Rooster, the Grapes and the Caveja” – A Romagna printing workshop on canvas by “Once Upon a Time.”
  • December 13: “Salty Frontier” – A journey into the salt pan environment with macro and microscopic observation of plants and animals, curated by Cooperativa Atlantide.
