Palacio Libertad Hosts Vibrant Cultural Events in March 2026

Buenos Aires’ Palacio Libertad is bustling with activity this March, offering a diverse program of music, visual arts, and performing arts events. From cumbia nights to Brahms symphonies, the cultural center presents a rich tapestry of Argentinian and international talent.

Musical Performances

Music lovers will find a wide range of options at Palacio Libertad. Esenciales: Cumbia de los 90 is scheduled for March 14th and 15th at 20:00 (Saturday) and 19:00 (Sunday) in the Auditorio Nacional. Palacio Libertad will similarly host performances by Juanito El Cantor and Les Afans on March 14th at 18:00 in the Salón de Honor, and Quique Sinesi and Ensamble Aéreo on March 15th at 18:00, also in the Salón de Honor. The Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional will perform Brahms’ Symphonies No. 1 and No. 4 on March 20th at 20:00 in the Auditorio Nacional.

Visual Arts and Exhibitions

The 112th Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales will be presented on March 15th at 17:00 in the Auditorio 411. New exhibitions opening on March 20th include Guilty! by Marcelo Grosman and Densidad orgánica mutante, both opening at 18:00. Las soñadoras. Grete Stern will be on display starting March 20th in the Segundo piso, Sala Inmersiva and Sala 206.

Performing Arts and Workshops

Ballet Folklórico Nacional will be performing Enlazados until March 22nd, with shows at 20:00 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and 19:00 on Sundays in Sala Argentina. A collage workshop, Componer mil mundos, led by Santiago Erausquin, will accept place on March 15th. Inventario. Activación performática is scheduled for March 14th from 16:00 to 19:00 in Sala 203. Fantasías inquietas, a space for teen activities, will be available on March 14th and 15th from 14:00 to 20:00 on the Terraza del Auditorio Nacional.

Other Events

A musical instrument fair took place on March 14th, featuring craftsmen testing instruments. Visitors browsed instruments on display during the fair. Florecen las peñas will be held on March 19th at 18:00 in the Plaza seca. The center also hosts a Feria de luthería y fabricantes de instrumentos musicales and a Mercado de Industrias Culturales Argentinas from March 13th to 15th, from 14:00 to 20:00 in the Plaza seca.

Cinema Program

Palacio Libertad continues its film program in March with screenings of 3000 km en bicicleta (Iván Vescovo, 2025) and El príncipe de Nanawa (Clarisa Navas, 2025).
