Ceiling Collapse at NAIA Terminal 1 Injures Seven; Investigation Launched

Seven people were injured on Friday, April 3, 2026, after a ceiling panel collapsed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1. The incident occurred at approximately 10:43 a.m. In the West Arrival Curb C area, near a food concession outlet Manila Bulletin.

Details of the Incident

According to New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), the operator of NAIA, the injured individuals received treatment at the scene and are currently in stable condition Manila Bulletin. NNIC’s medical team, airport security, and the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group responded to secure the area and provide medical assistance.

Following the collapse, engineering teams cordoned off the affected zone and conducted a structural inspection of surrounding sections.
