Natalya has had an amazing career in this industry and should be proud of it.
During her time in WWE, the Canadian star won the Divas Championship once, the SmackDown Women´s Championship once and also the Women´s Tag Team Championship together with Tamina. If that wasn’t enough, she took part in the first women’s Tables match in the Stamford company’s history, joining Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool and Layla.
Despite all the achievements she has achieved and the respect she enjoys among both fans and industry insiders, Natalya is not completely satisfied with what she has managed to achieve in the world of professional wrestling, and this is quite surprising.
Natalya is not satisfied
Interviewed by ´Wrestling Life´ yesterday, the Canadian veteran confessed that she had not been able to fully realize her goal: “This Nattie now – I think I have to give her life because I disappointed her. I think I disappointed her for a long time.”
Natalya continued, “When I think about it—and I don’t want to say that Natalya’s character hasn’t done great things. A lot of people would say, ‘Oh, she’s a first-choice Hall of Famer. She’s done all these things, she’s achieved all these things in WWE, and she’s had incredible longevity.’ But for me, I’m the kind of person who loves to build, create and invent. And I felt very suffocated.”
Every professional wrestler’s career is characterized by ups and downs and it is not easy to manage such a demanding schedule, which is why athletes often have to make compromises to give fans the best show possible. Natalya would have liked to follow a different path in this world, but her tenacity and her ability to never give up allowed her to make history in WWE and wrestling in general.
The women’s division would not have become as popular as we know it today without her seminal contributions, as she was a pioneer in many ways. Only at the end of his career will he realize what he has achieved.
