Navarra Judo Championships Conclude with Qualifiers for Spanish Nationals
Pamplona, Navarra – The XXXIX Sports Games of Navarra Judo culminated on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Trinquete Mendillorri Sports Center, with competitions for Children’s and Cadet categories. The event served as a qualifier for the Spanish School Judo Championship, scheduled to take place in Palma de Mallorca from April 16 to 18, 2026.
Competition Schedule and Results
The day began with unofficial weigh-ins at 8:00 AM for the Cadet category, followed by official weigh-ins from 8:10 to 8:30 AM. A time trial and referees’ meeting took place at 8:40 AM, with the Cadet competition commencing at 9:20 AM and medal presentations at 11:45 AM.
The Children’s category followed, with unofficial weigh-ins from 10:30 to 10:40 AM, official weigh-ins from 10:40 to 11:00 AM, competition starting at 11:50 AM, and medal presentations at 2:00 PM.
Following the initial rounds, tiebreaker matches determined the final rankings. Medals were awarded based on this final classification.
Spanish School Judo Championship Qualification
The top-ranked judokas in each weight category, for both Children’s and Cadet divisions, will be invited to participate in the Spanish School Judo Championship in Palma de Mallorca. Further details regarding this championship will be released shortly by the Federación Navarra de Judo y Deportes Asociados.
