Butterbeer Season Returns to Universal Studios: New Merchandise and Limited-Time Treats

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating Butterbeer™ Season, running from March 1st to May 31st, 2026. This year’s event marks the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film and features a new limited-time Butterbeer treat alongside themed merchandise.

New Merchandise for 2026

Guests can discover a variety of new merchandise options to commemorate Butterbeer Season. These include:

• Butterbeer Adult T-Shirt – $30: A mint green t-shirt featuring the iconic Butterbeer mug on the front, with commemorative icons on the back and sleeve.
• Butterbeer Adult Bucket Hat – $30: A dark grey bucket hat adorned with the same icons as other merchandise, and a “Serving Butterbeer” sign.
• Returning Items: A tote bag and candy bucket, with the candy bucket having originally debuted at Universal Orlando Resort in 2024, are also available.

Butterbeer Varieties

Butterbeer is a popular, family-friendly (non-alcoholic) beverage described as tasting “a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch.” It’s available in several forms throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:

• Cold Butterbeer: A carbonated version with a foamy top, available at Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head, and various carts. A dairy-free version is also available.
• Frozen Butterbeer: Blended with ice, offering a slightly different flavor profile than the cold version. Also available at Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head, and carts. A vegan option is available.
