Sonja Marten Appointed to Lead German Cooperative Banking Group

Sonja Marten has been appointed as teh new head of the German cooperative banking group, succeeding Michael Holstein. The appointment, announced today, underscores the association’s commitment to international expertise and strategic leadership as it navigates an increasingly complex global financial landscape.
Marten brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held a position within the cooperative central institute sence 2008. Prior to joining the institute, she honed her financial acumen at leading international institutions including BNP Paribas and Dresdner Bank, with assignments in both Frankfurt am main and London. Her academic background includes studies in economics and finance completed at universities in Brussels and warwick.
