Sepsis occurs when an individual’s immune system triggers an uncontrolled response to an infection, frequently resulting in organ failure and death. Despite decades of clinical focus, it remains a primary driver of critical illness and mortality in healthcare settings. Beyond immediate bedside protocols, the guidelines evaluate advanced technologies designed to reshape critical care.
