A new solidarity fund has been established in memory of Dr. Paola Pessino, a pediatrician from Novara who passed away unexpectedly in October 2024. The initiative, launched by Fondazione Comunità Novarese, aims to honor her legacy by advancing pediatric healthcare and supporting children in need through research, education, and community programs.
Foundation Objectives
The fund focuses on three core goals: promoting pediatric research, providing healthcare support for minors, and fostering creative initiatives like music education. “Paola’s passion for children and her love for music inspired us to create this fund,” said her husband, Sergio Alberti. “We want to continue her work by offering opportunities for young people to thrive, especially those facing hardship.”
The fund will support projects such as pediatric research grants, health interventions, and programs addressing youth well-being. It also plans to collaborate with local schools, healthcare providers, and music organizations to create spaces for emotional and artistic development.
