The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) will administer free vaccine doses against measles, pneumococcus, influenza and COVID-19 from November 9 to 14, 2026, at Parking Lot 3 of the Olympic University Stadium in Mexico City, El Universal reported.
UNAM Opens Vaccination Mega-Center at Olympic Stadium November 9–14
The vaccination campaign will run Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with an additional Saturday session on November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., according to Telediario and Radio Fórmula. The site is located at Parking Lot 3 of the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, on Avenida Insurgentes Sur in Ciudad Universitaria, Coyoacán borough.
Nursing personnel from the health sector and students from UNAM's Faculty of Nursing and Obstetrics will administer the vaccines.
Eligibility Rules Differ by Vaccine Type
According to Radio Fórmula, the influenza and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines will be available to anyone over 6 months of age. The pneumococcal vaccine targets people over 60 who have not received a dose in the past two years, while the measles-rubella vaccine is for people under 50 who have not been vaccinated in the last five years. El Universal noted that the campaign specifically aims to prevent these illnesses in adults over 60 and to combat measles, which still has high incidence in Mexico.

Registration and Appointment Blocks at salud.unam.mx
People can pre-register at salud.unam.mx/mega-centro-de-vacunacion/ or by scanning the QR code on campaign posters to speed up the process, El Universal reported. The online form asks for contact information, address, health history, university affiliation and the type of vaccine requested, and issues a confirmation receipt for preferential access, according to Telediario. To avoid long lines, attendees will be organized into two blocks at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., with a separate line for those who did not register.
Getting to the Stadium by Metro and Metrobus
Telediario reported that the closest Metrobus Line 1 stations are Doctor Gálvez and Ciudad Universitaria, from which visitors walk along the school circuit to the entrances. Metro riders can take Line 3 to the Universidad terminal station and board the free Pumabús on lines 1 or 8 to reach the stadium.
Gustavo Adolfo Olaiz Fernández Notes University Students Already Covered Against Measles
Gustavo Adolfo Olaiz Fernández, director general of Health Care at UNAM, said that students who entered the university through regulated passes are already fully covered with the measles vaccine, blocking the disease on campus, El Universal reported. He invited the public to take advantage of the collective effort, which he described as seeking to serve the Mexican population.
Part of the National Winter Vaccination Campaign
Radio Fórmula noted that the mega-center forms part of the federal government’s National Vaccination Campaign for the 2026–2027 Winter Season, aimed at preventing complications from respiratory illnesses during cold weather. People who cannot reach Ciudad Universitaria can find their nearest health center at the “¿Dónde me vacuno?” website of the Secretariat of Health or call 079 for guidance.
