Broadcasting Rights Shift to RTL and Sky
Television and streaming access for German audiences undergoes a major reorganization ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the NFL awarding its broadcast rights exclusively to RTL and Sky while parting ways with DAZN, according to pressure-magazine.de. WOW integrates the complete Sky Sport package into its Live-Sport tier, featuring the dedicated channel Sky Sport NFL. Viewers subscribing to WOW receive two Sunday afternoon games at 19:00 and 22:25, alongside the simultaneous deutschsprachige Sky NFL-Konferenz coverage.
RTL maintains its position as the primary free-to-air broadcaster, televising two Sunday matchups, prime-time night games, and every International Series fixture played in Europe. Meanwhile, the free streaming platform Joyn offers the 24-hour linear feed of NFL Network, broadcasting studio programs like Good Morning Football and seven live regular-season games, five of which take place internationally.
Pricing Structures and Subscription Options
Accessing the full slate of Sky broadcasts via WOW requires the Live-Sport tier, priced at 44.99 euros per month for a flexible monthly subscription or 29.99 euros monthly under a twelve-month agreement, pressure-magazine.de reported. Young adults aged 18 to 26 qualify for a discounted youth rate of 24.99 euros per month. Subscribers seeking ad-free streaming in full high definition must purchase the optional WOW Premium add-on for an additional 6 euros monthly.
German Roster Representation Across the League
Three German nationals occupy 53-man active rosters during the 2026 season: Amon-Ra St. Brown with the Detroit Lions, Brandon Coleman with the Washington Commanders, and rookie Marlin Klein, a Cologne native selected by the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
