In the world of college softball, NiJaree Canady is the sport’s biggest and brightest star. A standout at Texas Tech and one of softball’s most decorated players, she’s the active career leader in ERA, and is the only active player to post 1,100 strikeouts and 100 wins. So far this season, Canady logged a 21-4 record with a 1.39 ERA across 135 innings pitched. Also, she had 194 strikeouts under her belt and held opponents to a .142 batting average.

​The bulk of Canady’s earnings comes from the Texas Tech NIL collective, where she has signed the first million-dollar deal after transferring from Stanford. The deal includes $1,000,000 in base pay, $50,000 allotted for living expenses, and $24 as a symbolic nod to her jersey number. In June 2025, Canady signed her second million-dollar contract for a reported $1.2 million.

“Nija Canady is the most electrifying player in softball. She’s box office, and she goes out every day and competes,” Canady’s manager, Derrick Shelby of Prestige Management, said at the time. “The decision to stay at Tech was not difficult. This program has taken care of her. They have shown how much she is appreciated.”

Easton Diamond Sports Endorsement Deal

​In February 2025, Canady inked a multi-year NIL and professional equipment agreement with Easton Diamond Sports. The deal, which includes endorsement sponsorships and an exclusive equipment partnership.

“I am really excited to be a part of the Easton team and to represent them not only for the rest of my collegiate career, but for my softball career,” Canady said about the deal at the time.

Although figures of the deal have not been revealed, reports suggest that the partnership is “lucrative.”
