The Noah Todd Band Brings Original Sounds to Los Angeles Farmers Markets

Los Angeles’ vibrant farmers market scene is increasingly becoming a haven for live music, and The Noah Todd Band is at the forefront of this trend. Comprised of seasoned musicians Todd Grossman, Noah G. Wilson, and Ned Brower, the band blends rock, folk, Americana, and jazz influences, offering a unique sound to audiences throughout the city. They are scheduled to perform at the Wellington Square Farmers Market on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 10 a.m. To 12 p.m.

Meet the Musicians

Todd Grossman

Born in Salt Lake City in 1967, Todd Grossman’s musical journey began with the saxophone at age 10, later transitioning to the bass at 18. He has performed with groups like The Bernice Technique, The Brothers of the Baladi, and El Producto, even playing at the 2002 Winter Olympics with FistFull. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2002, Grossman has focused on The Noah Todd Band and solo projects, while also building custom instruments under the JValentine Guitars label.

Noah G. Wilson

Los Angeles-based bassist Noah G. Wilson began playing upright bass in San Francisco in the 6th grade. A graduate of the Musicians Institute, Wilson has been a fixture in the LA music scene since the 1990s, performing across genres including Americana, funk, soul, reggae, and jazz. He currently performs with the South Bay band Rooftop, in addition to his work with The Noah Todd Band.

Ned Brower

Ned Brower’s background is as diverse as his musical talents. Raised in Seattle during the alternative music explosion, he formed punk bands at age 15. After film school in Texas, he moved to Los Angeles in 2000, establishing a career as an actor (appearing in projects like Dawson’s Creek and Massive Fat Liar) and a musician with Rooney and Mike Viola. Following the dissolution of Rooney in 2013, Brower became an EMT and earned a Master’s degree in nursing from UCLA, working in the Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles before landing a role as Jesse Van Horn on HBO’s The Pitt in 2024. In 2026, he launched his electronic pop project, BLOODWERK.

Finding a Space for Music in Los Angeles

The band members each shared their perspectives on navigating the Los Angeles music scene.

  • Early Musical Influences: Grossman recalls being captivated by the dramatic lighting during a SCORPIONS concert, while Wilson cites KISS as his first live performance. Brower fondly remembers seeing Paul McCartney with his friends’ parents.
  • Parental Support: All three musicians benefited from supportive families. Grossman’s family encouraged his musical pursuits, Wilson’s mother advised him to choose music over home economics, and Brower’s parents provided early gear and practice space.
  • Booking Challenges: Grossman acknowledges that booking gigs is his weakest skill, while Wilson emphasizes the importance of drawing a crowd. Brower highlights the challenges of balancing multiple careers and family commitments.
  • The Value of Farmers Markets: Grossman’s wife connected with Melissa Conley, the market manager of Wellington Square Farmers Market, leading to performance opportunities. The band appreciates the community atmosphere and support provided by Conley and her husband.

The Rise of Live Music at Farmers Markets

The Noah Todd Band’s experience reflects a growing trend of live music performances in public spaces like farmers markets. The Wellington Square Farmers Market, celebrating its 16th anniversary on March 22nd, 2026, is a curated market focusing on fresh, healthy foods and local artisan products in the Historic West Adams District. This trend offers musicians an alternative to the traditional “pay-to-play” model often found in bars, and clubs.

The Noah Todd Band can be found performing regularly at the Wellington Square Farmers Market, as well as occasional gigs with Rooftop and at venues like the Redwood Bar.
