Nongshim Launches Neoguring Snacking Event Ahead of College Scholastic Ability Test
South Korean food company Nongshim is holding an event to give out snacks to high schools ahead of the upcoming College Scholastic Ability Test, known locally as the Suneung, newstomato.com reported. The promotion centres around its “Neoguring” snack, whose round shape and red seasoning symbolise the red circles students use to mark correct answers on the exam. To enter the contest, participants leave a comment naming the high school they support on Nongshim’s official Instagram account. The company will deliver 20 boxes of Neoguring to each of the top three schools with the most comments. The event runs through November 1 and is open to anyone, including test-takers.
Exhibition Booth Promotion at the Yangjae aT Center
Alongside the digital campaign, Nongshim is hosting an on-site Neoguring event at the second annual Fortune Fair held at the Yangjae aT Center in Seoul. The promotion runs for four days, concluding on November 1. The company structured the giveaway to wish test-takers good luck ahead of the high-stakes national examination.
Prior Exam Promotions and Corporate Intentions
This year’s giveaway follows similar corporate campaigns from previous academic testing cycles. Last year, ahead of the same university entrance examinations, Nongshim released a limited-edition Yangparing test-support package alongside paired online and offline events. Company representatives designed the latest snack promotions to ease pre-exam stress for students preparing for the rigorous academic milestone. “We planned this event to slightly relieve the tension of test-takers preparing for the CSST and to convey our cheering hearts,” a Nongshim representative said, as reported by newstomato.com. “We hope that test-takers achieve good results in the upcoming CSST together with Neoguring, the symbol of correct answers.”
