Design and Aesthetics

The Nothing Phone (4a) maintains the company’s signature transparent design, revealing glimpses of internal components. The rear features a uniquely shaped aluminum camera module and a new Glyph Bar comprised of 63 mini-LEDs. This Glyph Bar functions similarly to the Glyph Interface on previous models, displaying notifications, timers, volume indicators and other information without requiring the screen to be activated.

The Phone (4a) boasts an upgraded camera system, featuring a 50 MP Samsung GN9 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50 MP periscopic telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom and up to 70x digital zoom. An 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens completes the setup. The camera system supports features like TrueLens Engine 4, Ultra XDR, and Motion Photos for enhanced image quality and dynamic range.

Display and Performance

The smartphone incorporates a 6.78″ AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and a PWM frequency of up to 2,160 Hz. Nothing claims the battery will retain 90% of its capacity after around 1,200 charging cycles. The device runs Nothing OS 4.1, based on Android 16, and introduces AI-powered features like Essential Key for quick content capture and Essential Space for organizing and analyzing screenshots, and recordings.

The Nothing Phone (4a) is available for pre-order internationally starting March 5, 2026, with general sales beginning on March 13, 2026. It will be offered in four colors: white, black, pink, and blue. Pricing is as follows:
