Old Dominion Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season at Dorado Beach Collegiate

Dorado, Puerto Rico – The Old Dominion University (ODU) men’s golf team begins its spring campaign this Sunday, February 22nd, at the Dorado Beach Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro. The tournament will be held at the TPC Dorado Beach in Dorado, Puerto Rico, and will continue through Tuesday, February 24th.

Tournament Details

The three-day Dorado Beach Collegiate will commence with a 7:30 a.m. ET shotgun start for the first two rounds. The final round on Tuesday will tee off at 7:00 a.m. ET. The TPC Dorado Beach course is a par-72 layout spanning 7,122 yards.

A total of 15 teams will participate in this year’s tournament, including:

The Monarchs will field the following lineup:

  • Cullen Campbell
  • Quin Covington
  • Garret Cameron
  • Jakub Sutor
  • Joe MacPherson

Heath Stout will compete as an individual.

Previous Performance

This marks the fifth consecutive year that ODU has participated in the Dorado Beach Collegiate. Last year, the Monarchs finished 14th with a 54-hole total of 11-over par 875. Philip Minnehan, an ODU alumnus, led the team with a two-under 214, tying him for 21st place.
