The Buckeyes already have a solid foundation for their 2027 offensive line class with three commitments:

• Kellen Wymer (In-state, three-star)
• Mason Wilt (In-state, three-star)
• Brody McNeel (Virginia, three-star)

Focus on Five-Star Prospects

With a base of three committed linemen, Ohio State is now positioned to pursue higher-rated prospects, including five-star offensive linemen Maxwell Hiller and Mark Matthews. This strategy allows the Buckeyes to target elite players without being limited by roster needs.

Recent Recruiting Trends

Ohio State signed five offensive linemen in the 2026 class, with Sam Greer as the highest-rated at No. 52 overall and No. 6 offensive tackle. The program has seen a gradual increase in out-of-state recruiting, but landing a consensus five-star offensive tackle remains a key objective. The last five-star offensive line recruit from out-of-state signed by Ohio State was Donovan Jackson.

A standout 2027 offensive tackle is scheduled for an unofficial visit to Ohio State in March, providing an opportunity for the coaching staff to further evaluate and build a relationship with a potential key addition to the class.
