OnePlus 15T: A Compact Flagship with Enhanced Camera Capabilities

OnePlus is set to launch its newest device, the OnePlus 15T, in China on March 24, 2026, focusing on camera improvements and a compact form factor. The phone aims to deliver flagship performance in a smaller package, challenging the dominance of larger smartphones in the market.

Design and Build Quality

The OnePlus 15T measures 71.82mm in width and 8.5mm in thickness, weighing 194 grams. It will be available in three colors: Pure Cocoa, Relaxing Matcha, and Healing White Chocolate. The Pure Cocoa and Relaxing Matcha variants feature an AG frosted glass back, while the Healing White Chocolate version utilizes a micro-arc oxidation process for a uniform white finish. The device boasts IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, including protection against high-pressure water jets.

Display and Performance

The OnePlus 15T features a 6.32-inch OLED LTPO flat display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, framed by 1.1mm bezels. It incorporates a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Camera System: A Focus on Detail and Realism

The OnePlus 15T’s camera system is a key highlight, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX906 sensor, known for its light-capturing capabilities and high dynamic range. The periscope telephoto camera too boasts a 50-megapixel resolution, potentially utilizing a Samsung JN5 sensor, and supports up to 3.5x optical zoom and 7x lossless zoom through image processing. The telephoto lens has an 85mm equivalent focal length, designed for portrait photography.

LUMO Imaging Platform

OnePlus is integrating the LUMO imaging platform, originally developed by Oppo, to enhance the camera’s capabilities. LUMO combines optical data from different focal lengths with computational processing to create more realistic depth effects. It also includes a digital engine for precise depth reconstruction and ProXDR technology to maintain HDR quality throughout the imaging process, resulting in accurate skin tones and natural bokeh.

Battery and Charging

The OnePlus 15T is equipped with a large 7,500mAh battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Launch and Availability

The OnePlus 15T will launch in China on March 24th at 7pm Beijing Time (4:30pm IST). As of now, there is no official word on global availability, but it may be rebranded as the OnePlus 15s for markets outside of China, similar to last year’s 13T .
