According to McDowell, the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting is routine. She explained that the township is considering a restructuring that would align Osolo Township with the majority of townships in Elkhart County and Indiana, integrating fire and EMS services into a single unit. “We have been in discussions to move Osolo Township into the same structure that all the other townships in Elkhart County, and over 90% of the townships in the state of Indiana are under, which is a fire and an EMS together as one unit, rather than overtaxing the citizens of Osolo Township to provide two separate entities,” McDowell said.
