Krypton Kittens Secure Spot in Pennsylvania FIRST Lego League State Championship

Palmyra High School will host the Pennsylvania FIRST Lego League State Championship this weekend, following qualifying competitions across the state. The Krypton Kittens, a youth robotics team from Hershey, Pennsylvania, have earned a place among the competing teams.

Competition Journey

The Krypton Kittens qualified for the state championship after competing in events held in December and January. Team member Elizabeth Muldoon described the progression of practice and competitions, stating, “We had our first competition in December, then we had one in January and now we have one so like it’s crunch time…it was worth it we get to meet so many new people.” Source

FIRST Lego League Challenge

The FIRST Lego League Challenge introduces students to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts through hands-on robotics activities using LEGO technology. FIRST’s website provides further information on the league and its mission.

State Championship Details

The Pennsylvania FIRST Lego League State Championship is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Palmyra High School, located at 1125 Park Drive, Palmyra, PA 17078. FIRST Mid-Atlantic

Looking Ahead

Following the state championship, successful teams may advance to the World Championship, which was held in Houston, Texas in 2025. FIRST Championship Results from the Pennsylvania State Championship have not yet been released.
