Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful Dispute Resolution, Highlights Key Partnerships
Islamabad – Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to resolving disputes peacefully, with a particular focus on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated on Wednesday. Dar emphasized that lasting stability in South Asia is contingent upon a just settlement of the dispute, aligned with relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, Dar outlined the core principles guiding Pakistan’s foreign policy: safeguarding national security, promoting peace, fostering dialogue, and encouraging economic cooperation. He reiterated the call for a reversal of India’s unilateral actions taken on August 5, 2019, in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
