The Punjab Home Department has issued comprehensive directives for province-wide Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, ordering strict security arrangements and community events for the upcoming holiday, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on August 21, 2026. The department’s orders include illuminating prominent public and private buildings with green lights and establishing sabeels along major procession routes.

Security and Procession Arrangements

Massive security deployments are underway across Rawalpindi and other provincial districts as law enforcement agencies review routes for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal processions. According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, the Punjab Home Department has dispatched formal letters to all deputy commissioners and district police officers, demanding the strict implementation of foolproof security directives.

Public Outreach and Educational Events

The province-wide schedule incorporates cultural and educational programs designed to highlight the observance. According to an APP report published via UrduPoint, educational institutions across Punjab will host dedicated Milad gatherings on Tuesday, August 25, corresponding to 11 Rabi-ul-Awwal. These events will feature Seerat-un-Nabi symposia aimed at promoting peace, tolerance, and unity.
