Patrick J. Adams, widely recognized for his portrayal of Mike Ross in Suits, recently revisited a lesser-known chapter of his career: a brief stint as a superhero. The discussion arose during an interview promoting his current role in Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison, a Paramount+ exclusive series.

From Law to Legends: A Superhero Past

While discussing The Madison with CBR alongside co-stars Elle Chapman and Amiah Miller, Adams was asked about his experience playing Hourman in the DC TV series Legends of Tomorrow. He jokingly requested that the topic not be revealed to his current castmates, suggesting a desire to keep that part of his resume under wraps.

A Short-Lived Superhero Career

Adams appeared as Rex Tyler/Hourman in two episodes of Legends of Tomorrow in 2016. His character, the leader of the Justice Society of America, initially warned the team about a future threat before fading from existence. A younger version of the character later appeared and ultimately met his demise at the hands of Reverse-Flash. Notably, the character never utilized Miraclo, the substance granting him superhuman abilities, during his appearances.

Looking Ahead

Despite his brief foray into the superhero genre, Adams seems content focusing on dramatic roles like Russell McIntosh in The Madison, which has already been renewed for a second season. With the expanding landscape of both DC and Marvel television, the possibility of Adams revisiting the superhero world in the future remains open, perhaps even as a villain.
