Patriots Cruise to Victory Over Giants
FOXBOROUGH,Mass. (AP) – Drake Maye and Marcus Jones led the new england Patriots to their 11th win of the season, solidifying their position as a dominant force in the NFL. They decisively outplayed the New York Giants on Monday night.
Maye threw for two touchdowns, and Jones delivered a stunning 94-yard punt return for another score as the Patriots defeated the Giants 33-15.
This victory marks the Patriots’ 10th consecutive win, their longest streak since a similar run in 2015. Head coach Mike Vrabel also achieved a milestone, becoming only the third coach since 1970 to lead a team to a 10-game winning streak in their first season.
Maye was incredibly efficient, completing 24 of 31 passes for 282 yards without a single interception. Vrabel believes this performance showcases Maye’s growing potential. “He’s realizing what he can be,” the coach stated.
“I’m trying to be the face of this team, the conductor,” Maye said. “I want the pressure, and I want the ball in my hands.”
The Giants, meanwhile, continued to struggle, losing their seventh straight game and their third since firing coach Brian Daboll. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart returned from a concussion, but couldn’t spark a turnaround.
Dart connected with Darius Slayton for a touchdown and finished with 17 of 24 passes completed for 139 yards.Devin Singletary also contributed a touchdown run for the Giants.
“We were just fighting to stay in the game, trying to find any way to catch up,” Dart explained.
Dart played with his characteristic energy, scrambling on a second-down play and attempting to gain extra yardage near the sideline. This aggressive move resulted in a hard hit from Patriots linebacker Christian Elliss.
