Hygiene Product Drive Supports Those in Demand in Peñaranda de Bracamonte

Peñaranda de Bracamonte, Spain – The brotherhood of Santo Cristo de la Cama is organizing a community-wide campaign to collect essential hygiene products for individuals and families in need. This marks the second consecutive year for the initiative, which aims to provide basic necessities to those supported by the local parish.

Collection Details

Residents are invited to donate basic hygiene items such as gel, shampoo, deodorant, diapers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, as well as feminine hygiene products. The collection will take place on Saturday, March 21st, starting at 4:00 p.m. At the parish church of San Miguel Arcángel.

Connecting with Holy Week Preparations

The collection event coincides with the traditional changing of the robes of the recumbent Christ image in preparation for Holy Week. This timing allows the brotherhood to combine community service with its religious observances.

A Message of Support

Organizers emphasize the importance of community participation, reminding residents that items considered everyday essentials can be vital for others. “What is everyday for you is essential for others,” they stated.
