Perm Sports Scholarships Doubled for Young Athletes in 2026
Perm, Russia – A resolution signed by Perm City Head Eduard Sosnin will provide increased financial support to young athletes in the region. A total of 207 athletes under the age of 18 will receive monthly scholarships throughout 2026, with payment amounts doubled compared to the previous year.
Scholarship Details
The “Sports Hopes” scholarship is awarded based on athletic achievements in competitions at the interregional, all-Russian, and international levels. Eligible sports include those on the list of basic sports in the Perm Territory, as well as Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympic disciplines.
Scholarship amounts range from 1,000 to 5,000 rubles per month, determined by the level and type of competition, and the athlete’s placement. Athletes who win championships or world championships in non-Olympic sports, non-Paralympic disciplines, or non-Deaflympic disciplines not included in the list of basic sports in the Perm Territory are eligible for the maximum scholarship amount of 5,000 rubles per month.
