Pillar to Invest €10 Million in Second Phase of Riga’s Mežciema Houses Project

Riga, Latvia – March 4, 2026 – Real estate developer Pillar plans to commence construction of the second phase of its Mežciema Houses project in Riga this spring, with a total investment of under €10 million. This latest phase will add another A+ class energy-efficient multi-apartment building to Pillar’s portfolio, building on the success of the first phase completed in September 2023.

Award-Winning First Phase Sets the Standard

The first phase of the Mežciema Houses project, comprising a 10-story building with 79 apartments, received the “Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2023” award in the New Residential Construction category. This recognition highlights Pillar’s commitment to quality and high construction standards, attracting both residents and industry acclaim.

Second Phase Details: Apartments and Amenities

The second phase will consist of a 10-story building housing 78 apartments. Available units will include two-, three-, and four-room apartments ranging in size from 45 to 88 square meters, all featuring full interior finishing. Each apartment will include a utility room and either a balcony or terrace.

Residents will benefit from a premium-class ventilation system with heat recovery, and the option to install individual air conditioning units. The development will also feature extensive landscaping, a children’s playground, and ample parking, including spaces equipped for electric vehicle charging.

Enhanced Amenities for Residents

Unlike other Pillar projects, the second phase of Mežciema Houses will offer additional amenities, including individual storage rooms on the ground floor, covered parking spaces (with electric vehicle charging), a closed bicycle shed, and a garden gazebo for relaxation.
