Ploufragan Municipal Council Approves Housing and Sports Funding, Establishes Social Committee
The Ploufragan municipal council convened on Tuesday to approve several key initiatives, including financial assistance for social housing construction, support for local sports associations and the establishment of a joint territorial social committee. All proposals were adopted unanimously.
Social Housing Development
The council approved a €93,000 land tax assistance package for Terres d’Armor Habitat to facilitate the construction of 18 social rental housing units in the Clos-de-jonquilles subdivision. The project is designed to address the needs of seniors and will include a mix of rental assistance programs: six rental loans with integration assistance (PLAI), six rental loans for social use (PLUS), and six social rental loans (PLS).
Support for Sports Associations
Recognizing the importance of maintaining associative employment within local sports organizations, the council allocated €8,000 in subsidies for 2026 to three associations: the basketball section of the secular association, the Ploufragan football club, and the Stade Ploufraganais roller-skating club. These funds will contribute to covering the salary costs of the sports instructor positions within each association.
Joint Territorial Social Committee
Mayor Rémy Moulin proposed the creation of a joint territorial social committee, encompassing both the municipality and the city’s Communal Social Action Center (CCAS). This committee will serve all agents of both communities and is slated to be implemented following the general renewal of staff representatives at the end of 2026. The council likewise approved the establishment of joint specialized training in health, safety, and working conditions within the new committee.
