Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Lolos Sertifikasi, Ini Modalnya untuk Bersaing di Kelas Flagship Indonesia

Xiaomi has moved closer to releasing its newest high-end device in Southeast Asia after a model designated as the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max cleared regulatory hurdles. Radar Cirebon reported that the device, carrying the model number 2609BPN61G, secured Postel certification from the Ministry of Communication and Digital on October 12, 2026. Prior to that regulatory approval, the same model number appeared in the domestic component level, or TKDN, database managed by the Ministry of Industry.

While the certifications indicate that a commercial release in Indonesia is approaching, Xiaomi has not yet announced an official launch date, complete local specifications, or retail pricing. Suara.com noted that PT Xiaomi Technology Indonesia registered the smartphone alongside the Xiaomi Watch 2 wearable. During a recent media gathering in Jakarta, Xiaomi Indonesia Country Director Michael Feng displayed a dark blue unit of the flagship phone to reinforce the upcoming rollout.

Pricing and Market Positioning Against Apple and Samsung

In its initial home market release in China, the base configuration of the Xiaomi series launched at 6,999 yuan, equivalent to approximately Rp 18.9 million, though Suara.com notes that prices in Indonesia will likely be higher. Sumeks reported that the broader lineup competes against Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro, which runs on the A20 Pro chip.
