Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Announced for Pokémon GO: Dates, Bonuses, and Counters

Legendary pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region will be taking center stage in Pokémon GO! Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem, and White Kyurem will appear more frequently in raids during Kyurem Fusion Raid Day on January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. These powerful Raid Bosses will alternate every half hour, with Reshiram and Black Kyurem appearing first, followed by Zekrom and White kyurem. Trainers will have the prospect to catch Kyurem after defeating either Black Kyurem or White Kyurem.

Event Bonuses and Raid Passes

To aid Trainers in battling these formidable Pokémon,several bonuses will be available. Players can receive up to five additional free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. Additionally, the daily Remote Raid limit will be increased to 20 from January 9 at 5:00 p.m. to January 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. PST. Shiny versions of Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem will also be more common during the event, offering a chance to add these rare Pokémon to your collection.

Fusion Energy and Kyurem Fusion

Completing raids will reward Trainers with Fusion Energy. This energy is crucial for fusing Kyurem with Zekrom to create Black Kyurem, or with Reshiram to create White Kyurem. Kyurem encountered in raids may know the Charged Attack Glaciate. If a Kyurem with Glaciate is used for fusion, the resulting Black Kyurem will learn Freeze Shock, while White Kyurem will learn Ice Burn.

Event Ticket and Additional Perks

For a more enhanced experience, Trainers can purchase an event ticket for $4.99 (or the equivalent in their local currency). This ticket grants access to eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, an increased chance of receiving Rare Candy XL from raid Battles, a 50% XP boost, and double Stardust from completed raids. Tickets can also be gifted to friends who have reached a Great Friends level or higher.
