Prabowo Subianto Hosts Former Indonesian Leaders for Discussions

President Prabowo Subianto convened a meeting with former Indonesian Presidents and Vice Presidents at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday evening, March 3, 2026.

Purpose of the Meeting

The gathering was described as a discussion meeting and friendly gathering. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated the President aimed to socialize and exchange views with these prominent figures, including chairmen of political parties in Parliament (VOI.id).

Recent Presidential Interactions

This meeting follows a previous gathering between President Prabowo Subianto and former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at Prabowo’s residence on October 4, 2025, which State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi described as a regular meeting between the 7th and 8th Presidents (Tempo.co). That meeting, lasting over two hours, covered various national issues and provided an opportunity for input.

President Prabowo also met with eight Indonesian business tycoons on March 6, 2025, discussing topics such as industrialization, domestic investment, and economic growth (Republika.co.id).
