Prabowo Seeks Removal of South Aceh Regent from Umrah Amid Disaster

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia — President prabowo Subianto touched on Regent of South Aceh Mirwan MS, who went on Umrah without permission when his area was affected by floods adn landslides. Prabowo asked Home affairs Minister Tito Karnavian to process Mirwan’s removal.

“If you want to run, it’s okay to just run. if you can remove teh minister of Home Affairs, you can process it,” said Prabowo during a meeting to speed up disaster management in Sumatra which was held at laund Sultan Iskandar Muda, Aceh Besar, Sunday (7/12).

“This is when soldiers desertion, they are in danger of abandoning their subordinates, oh, that can’t be done, sorry.” Well, I don’t want to ask which party,” added Prabowo.

Prabowo’s warning was not without reason. The reason is that the Regent of South Aceh, Mirwan MS, left his area which was hit by a disaster to carry out the Umrah pilgrimage.

The inspection team from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs (kemendagri) has even rescheduled Mirwan’s examination.

On that occasion, Prabowo did not forget to express his thanks to regional heads who continue to work tirelessly to save the people.

“Thank you regents, those of you who continue to fight for the people, you were indeed chosen to face difficulties,” said Prabowo.
