Prescott Frontier Days® Announces 2026 Junior Ambassador Scholarship Recipients

Prescott Frontier Days® (PFD) has announced the recipients of its 2026 Junior Ambassador Scholarships. The program, which received applications from students across Yavapai County, recognizes outstanding students with a passion for rodeo and Western heritage. The 139th World’s Oldest Rodeo will take place from June 29 to July 5, 2026.

2026 Junior Ambassador Class

Eight students have been selected as Junior Ambassadors for 2026:

• Tylar Blackmore (17, Trinity Christian High School): Plans to pursue a career as an orthodontist dentist and demonstrates a deep appreciation for rodeo and ranching culture.
• Brody Halford (17, Prescott High School & CTED Mountain Institute): Aims to work in the stockyards and continue the Western lifestyle tradition in Prescott.
• Kaelynn Corbitt (18, Home Education): Will attend Grand Canyon University and focus on photography and graphic design.
• Kendal Frost (16, Prescott High School): Hopes to compete in college rodeo with WPRA permission, building on a lifetime of rodeo participation.
• Sophie Lyon (16, Prescott High School): Plans to attend paramedic school and become a certified EMT, with interests in photography, and motorsports.
• Bria Moseley (17, Bagdad High School): Enjoys livestock and agriculture and plans to become a dental hygienist.
• Liliana Soto (16, Homeschooling): A lifelong horse enthusiast, she intends to pursue a career in forensic science and crime scene investigation.
• Allahna Walls (16, Prescott High School): Interested in horse riding and gymnastics, she hopes to attend Central Arizona College and become an equine veterinarian.

Junior Ambassador Responsibilities

The Junior Ambassadors will contribute to various aspects of PFD, including rodeo production and administration, competitor services, website and social media management, customer relations, animal health support, sales, graphic design, sports medicine, audiovisual operations, marketing, and merchandise.

Supporting the World’s Oldest Rodeo

PFD expressed gratitude to school administrators, librarians, parents, and others who facilitated the nomination process. Prescott Frontier Days and Yavapai County Ranch Rodeo

Prescott Frontier Days continues to grow, preserving Western heritage and giving back to Yavapai County. Prescott Frontier Days also welcomes the Yavapai County Ranch Rodeo and Match Bronc Riding, sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association (WRCA). The Yavapai County Ranch Rodeo is a celebration of the authentic working cowboy and ranch life.
