Prince Andrew’s Marsh Farm Residence Receives Royal-Approved Upgrades

Marsh Farm, the new residence of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, is undergoing renovations featuring luxury finishes, including carpeting installed by Linney Cooper, a company holding a Royal Warrant from King Charles. The upgrades are taking place as the Duke prepares to move from his temporary home at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate.

Luxury Flooring and Security Enhancements

According to reports, Linney Cooper, known for its work at Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Royal Lodge, and Windsor Castle (including post-fire restoration in 1992), has been contracted to install flooring and carpets at Marsh Farm. Marie Claire and Yahoo Entertainment both reported on the flooring work.

In addition to the interior upgrades, security measures are similarly being implemented. A six-foot-high wooden fence is nearing completion, enclosing much of the two-story house from the public road. A trench has also been dug between the farmhouse and a nearby barn, though the purpose of this excavation remains unclear.

Move from Wood Farm and Ongoing Scrutiny

Prince Andrew has been residing at Wood Farm, Prince Philip’s former country retreat, whereas renovations at Marsh Farm are completed. He is expected to move to his new residence next month.

The move comes amid ongoing scrutiny regarding Prince Andrew’s position in the line of succession, currently eighth in line to the throne. Discussions are underway, led by King Charles, regarding potentially removing him from the royal line of succession, a process that would require approval from all 15 Commonwealth realms.

The former Duke of York has not been publicly seen since leaving Aylsham police station following his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Potential Impact on Daughters’ Positions

The potential consequences for Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, remain unclear. Princess Beatrice currently holds ninth place in the line of succession, with her children following, while Princess Eugenie occupies twelfth position.

Allegations and Denials

The allegations against Prince Andrew include claims of sharing classified information with associates, including convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing related to these allegations.
