Qantas Airways has announced the launch of the first-ever non-stop flights between Australia and Las Vegas, set to begin on December 29, 2026. This recent seasonal service will connect Sydney (SYD) and Las Vegas (LAS), reducing travel time by up to five hours for passengers who previously had to connect through other U.S. Cities .

A Strategic Route Expansion

The Sydney to Las Vegas route marks Qantas’ 101st international destination and its eighth gateway in North and South America, joining Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Dallas, New York, Vancouver, and Santiago . The airline strategically timed the launch to coincide with major events in Las Vegas, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Rugby League Las Vegas Festival, and a variety of entertainment residencies featuring global superstars .
