Schweiger Celebrates Underdog Story in ‘Invincibles’
Til Schweiger says his latest film, Invincibles, is a story about people who don’t get a fair shot. These characters refuse to give up on their dreams, and ultimately, they succeed. “It’s a classic Hollywood theme of failure turning into triumph,” he explains.
Producer Petr Jákl offered Schweiger a role in Invincibles, which centers around the Para Hockey World Championship. Schweiger accepted immediately. “I’ll always take a call from him. I really admire him and would do anything he asks,” Schweiger shared.

Jákl previously cast Schweiger in the past film Jan Žižka (2022), where he played Henry III of Rosenberg. Schweiger prefers the pace of Czech and German productions compared to large-scale Hollywood films. He finds they require less of his time, despite having smaller budgets.
