Ralph Barbosa to Star in Hulu Animated Series ‘Swap Meet’

Comedian Ralph Barbosa is set to executive produce and star in Swap Meet, a half-hour animated comedy series in development at Hulu. The series, from writer and executive producer Isaac Gonzalez, is being produced by Sony Pictures Television and 20th Television Animation, with Sony Pictures Television leading the production Deadline.

About Swap Meet

Swap Meet centers around a down-on-his-luck Ralph Barbosa, who works alongside the Cortez family – his aunt’s “brash, proudly blue-collar Mexican American family” – at the Eastgate Swap Meet. The Eastgate Swap Meet is described as a “delightfully low-rent retail paradise” offering an infinite array of goods, and services.

Creative Team and Production

In addition to Barbosa and Gonzalez, Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein will also serve as executive producers for Mortal Media. Barbosa’s previous work with Hulu includes his stand-up special, Ralph Barbosa: Planet Bosa, released in August 2025 Deadline.

Valentino, Legends of Chamberlain Heights, and Seth MacFarlane’s Bordertown. In live-action, he has written and produced for HBO Max’s The Gordita Chronicles and Netflix’s Mr. Iglesias Deadline.
