Ice Cube’s ‘War of the Worlds’ Dominates 46th Razzie Awards
The 46th Razzie Awards, celebrating the worst in cinema, have been announced, with Ice Cube’s 2025 remake of “War of the Worlds” taking home five awards, including Worst Picture and Worst Actor CNN, The Hollywood Reporter, and Variety.
‘War of the Worlds’ Receives Multiple Razzies
The film, based on the H.G. Wells novel, was recognized for Worst Picture, Worst Remake/Rip-off Sequel, Worst Director (Rich Lee), and Worst Screenplay (Kenny Golde, Marc Hyman) CNN. Ice Cube’s performance likewise earned him the title of Worst Actor CNN, The Hollywood Reporter, and Variety. The Razzies described the film as a “cult hate-watch classic” The Hollywood Reporter.
Other Razzie Award Winners
Disney’s live-action reimagining of “Snow White” (2025) also received recognition, with all seven CGI dwarfs winning Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo CNN. Rebel Wilson was named Worst Actress for “Bride Hard” Variety.
Razzie Redeemer Award
Kate Hudson received the Razzie Redeemer Award for her performance in “Song Sung Blue,” acknowledging a career comeback after previously winning Worst Actress for “Music” in 2021 CNN.

The Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, are awarded annually to films deemed the worst of the year. The awards are announced the day before the Academy Awards CNN.
