Realm of Ink Gears Up for Full Release in May Following Spring Update

Publisher 4Divinity and developer Leap Studio are preparing to launch the action roguelite Realm of Ink on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2026. The announcement coincides with the release of the “Ink-Stained Spring Update” and a 10% discount on Steam, available through March 26, 2026.

A World Born of Ink and Destiny

Realm of Ink casts players as Red, a swordswoman who discovers she is a character within a living story. To escape her predetermined fate, Red must master various combat forms and navigate a world inspired by Chinese folklore. The game blends ink-style visuals with fast-paced action roguelite gameplay.

What’s New in the Ink-Stained Spring Update?

The latest update delivers significant content and improvements to the Early Access version of the game. Key features include:

• Affinity System: Players can now forge deeper connections with key characters through reflective moments, hinting at an unfolding mystery.
• Endless Mode Returns: Unlocked after completing the game’s true ending, Endless Mode presents an escalating challenge with increasingly powerful enemies.
• Enhanced Combat Feedback: Refined hit effects, enemy reactions, and sound design create a more impactful and satisfying combat experience.
• New Boss Arena Viewpoints: Bird’s-eye views have been added to end-chapter boss arenas, showcasing the game’s striking environments.
• Optimizations and Fixes: Numerous improvements have been implemented across the game.

• Evolving Action Combat: Players can switch between combat forms, combine Ink Gems, and create unique loadouts.
• Rebirth-Forged Progression: Death unlocks new abilities, forms, and story paths.

• Master Ink Gems: Over 40 Ink Gems, such as Tiger, Dragon, Venom, and Burning, enhance abilities and alter each run.

Availability and Platforms

Realm of Ink is currently available in Early Access on Steam with a 10% discount until March 26, 2026. A free demo is also available. The full v1.0 launch will occur on May 26, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
