A man in his 60s died on Sunday evening when the car he was driving collided with a bus on the N25 in County Waterford, according to An Garda Síochána. Local representatives identified the deceased motorist as Richard Prendergast, a farmer from the local community.

Local Fianna Fáil councillor Tom Cronin described Prendergast as a nice man who was well known throughout the area, offering his sympathies to the Prendergast family.
Bus Passenger Status and Road Closures
Approximately a dozen passengers traveling on the bus were medically assessed at the scene, according to reports from The Irish Sun. While no serious or life-threatening injuries were reported among the bus occupants, a number of individuals were transferred to a hospital for further treatment.
An Garda Síochána closed the N25 stretch at Kinsalebeg overnight to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to conduct a full technical examination. The route has since fully reopened to motorists, according to updated statements from Gardaí.

Investigators are urging any witnesses to the incident to come forward with information.
